In May 2015, for the first time, Belfast hosted the annual BAR conference in Belfast and the sell out event was hailed a success all round. For the 3rd year in succession Pluscrates sponsored the ‘Commercial Mover of the Year’ which was won this year by Universal Commercial Relocation
June has been a busy month here at Pluscrates. We had our two busiest days of the year at the Wembley branch and work across the country has been gradually building. It looks like the summer is here to stay.
This time of year always brings a large quantity of work from schools and colleges and universities; this year is no exception, but we’ve also noticed an increase in office moves for large companies and crate rental being utilised for major events happening across the country. In April we reported that Pluscrates were involved in the house of common moves and may and June have seen some interesting companies utilising our crates. We delivered to Royal Windsor race course for their summer gala , rockstar games up in Scotland for an office move, RHS for their summer shows, Scottish National Heritage and Microsoft to name but a few.
Pluscrates is pleased to be one of only a handful of companies who have female porters out on the road. As of June 2015, we now have not one but two female customer service representatives (porters) working out on the road each day. It’s a changing world out there and here at Pluscrates we have embraced that full on. John is quoted as saying that he was ‘apprehensive at first’ but both Tanya and Kerri have proved to be valuable members of the team, keeping up with the boys on every level.
